2007 Award Nomination Forms Now Available

Outstanding Faculty Educator Award
Recognize your favorite professor or instructor by nominating him or her for the Outstanding Faculty Educator Award. If selected, your faculty member will receive $1000 and you will receive a $200 University Book Center gift certificate for your winning nomination! The Outstanding Faculty Educator Award is presented each year by the Maryland Parents Association to honor a faculty member who demonstrates a deep commitment to providing an exemplary educational experience for University of Maryland students.

Recognize your academic advisor by nominating him or her for the Outstanding Academic Advisor Award. If selected, your academic advisor will receive $1000 and you will receive a $200 University Book Center gift certificate for your winning nomination! The Outstanding Academic Advisor Award is presented each year by the Maryland Parents Association to honor an academic advisor who demonstrates a deep commitment to providing an exemplary educational experience for University of Maryland students.

Family Member of the Year Award
Nominate your family member and you could win a free semester of required text books! The Family Member of the Year Award, presented by the Office of Parent and Family Affairs, seeks to recognize a parent, guardian, sibling, extended family member or friend whose presence, endeavors, dedication, and care have contributed to the personal development, academic success, and life achievement of his or her undergraduate student.

All family members who are nominated for the award will receive a congratulatory letter and a copy of the essay submission. The recipient of the Family Member of the Year Award will be presented with a plaque during Family Weekend, and the student who wrote the essay will be presented with a $500 gift certificate from the University Book Center.
